01 / The design question

How do you communicate a low-light interior without losing material depth or spatial clarity?

02 / The approach

  1. Separate ambient light from the counter and decorative lighting so the room has a readable hierarchy.
  2. Use contrasting surface responses—timber, stone, metal and upholstery—to give dark areas depth.
  3. Review the atmosphere from several positions rather than relying on one dramatic hero image.

03 / Deliverables

  • Lounge interior renders
  • Lighting and material studies
  • Presentation image sequence

What the work makes clear

The study shows how a restrained palette can still carry a strong hospitality identity when light has a clear role.
