Concept render of a sunken lounge with curved seating, a central fire feature and snowy forest beyond full-height glazing
The gathering space / seating, fire feature and winter outlook

Residential / Interior concept visualization

Winter lounge / a place to gather.

A winter lounge visualization studies a sunken conversation space, curved seating, warm timber and a view into the snow. Two distinct perspectives show how the central gathering area relates to the wider room.

01 / The design question

How can a large winter-facing room feel close and sociable without losing its connection to the landscape?

02 / The approach

  1. Use a recessed seating group to give the main gathering area a clear center within the larger room.
  2. Compare a landscape-facing view with a reverse view to show the relationship between seating, circulation and built-in storage.
  3. Balance the cool winter outlook with warm timber, soft upholstery and layered shelf lighting in the concept imagery.

03 / Deliverables

  • Two interior concept visualization views
  • A coordinated material and lighting direction

What the work makes clear

The paired views make the proposed gathering area easier to understand from both the windows and the adjoining room.
